The Federation is a National arts organization with over 2,800 listed members and only 225 of these have achieved AFCA status. The Federation awarded just five new AFCA’s at the awards ceremony.
In order to achieve this designation an artist must have been accepted into at least seven Federation juried exhibitions during a three year period, have submitted digital images of ten works that show an artist’s vision and if the jury is satisfied with the quality of work, the artist is invited to submit three works for physical jurying. Over the past year Elizabeth has exhibited work in eight Federation shows and completed all the steps needed for achieving the designation and the jury of 12 senior artists of the Federation agreed.
“I’m delighted to have achieved the AFCA designation,” said Elizabeth Evans, “it’s always gratifying to have your peers recognize the work you do.”
The Federation Gallery is currently exhibiting the works of all the artists who achieved status upgrades.
